ABOUT IALA

More about the iALA Leadership Year

Leader Year – not “GAP”-year

iALA runs a full program and the perception of a “GAP” – year where you do as little as possible, should be totally abolished. iALA’s vision is

Inspiration, Aspiration, Leadership, Adventure

iALA LEADERSHIP MODEL IS BASED APON: CHARACTER, CLARITY, COMPETENCE, COACHABILITY AND COURAGE

The year is filled with fun and experiences, but also hard work. Adventure is the medium, but the aim is responsible citizenship and sustainable development in terms of ecology, economy and community. Christian values and principles and daily discipline form the backbone of the program. The iALA-family strives towards a Legacy of Excelence!

Our Calling

We live in a time where moral values and norms are easily swiped under the rug, and where we’ve become almost scared to stand up for what is right and wrong. Our calling is in Christ alone, to make a difference in the lifes of young adults and to guide them to take their place in society with confidence and integrity, making a positive contribution wherever they are.

Seven years of learning

2020 marks the 8th year of our journey with iALA. What we’ve learned in the past seven years is not to stand back for our faith and values and not to be reluctant to voice it. We’ve become more and more aware of moral decay and destructive habits among our younger generation adults. Therefore we focus on regaining pride and discipline and making healthy, positive life choices growing towards well grounded adulthood.
Discipline and rules at iALA is not to isolate or limit students, but to give them a legacy to be proud of.

“WRONG IS WRONG even if everyone is doing it. RIGHT IS RIGHT even if no one is doing it.”

MEET THE TEAM

Our presenters, team leaders and contracted instructors are highly experienced in their fields of knowledge, with a hungry appetite for adventure.
